Burghley Park Cricket Club

Cricket Week & Beer Festival

July 3-7 2017 sees the return of the annual Burghley Park Cricket Club Cricket Week and Beer Festival, sponsored by Hindmarch PeugeotBeer tent sponsor Cabel UK and bar sponsor Cover Box will help ensure that there are plenty of different barrels of beer on offer every day as well as the popular BBQ this year provided by Beetroot Catering. Games take place each day during the week from 10am, with a Burghley Park XI taking on visiting sides such as Lincolnshire Gents and Leicestershire Gents, the addition of the Authors CC will continue again this year, a cricket team of writers, which originally played in the early twentieth century, before being revived in 2012. New for 2017 is a fixture against the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), which starts at 11am on the Friday. From 6pm each evening 16 local sides battle it out in the six-a-side competition. The 'Buckles Champagne Moment' will be up for grabs again each evening in order to celebrate the fantastic local talent on display.
